   WELCOME!

Here is some information that should help make the 2011-2012 school
year one of the best yet.

Philosophy and Expectations

I believe that every child has the right to a good education.  Everyday, my goal is to teach my students what they will need to be productive members of  society.  It is for that reason that I stress the four "I's":
Integrity
Initiative
Intelligence
Imagination

Classroom Management Plan
On the board there is a traffic light poster.  Each student has a magnetic car with his or her name on it.  As misbehaviors occur, students move their cars from green to yellow to red.  At the end of the day, students whose cars have stayed on yellow or green earn a hole on their punchcards.  After five holes, a student earns a treat.  After twenty holes, the card is complete and the student earns a prize from the treasure chest.
Students whose cars move more than 3 levels may have a note sent home to their parents.  Continued discipline problems will result in meetings with parents and the principal.
