Resource Class at SRMS
Daily Requirements: Each student is expected to come to class with personal planner/agenda and necessary assignments and school supplies. Although some extra texts and materials may be available in the classroom, it is the student's responsibility to have his or her own supplies. Student agendas will be checked for written assignments. Students should plan to use this period to work on homework assignments from core classes, as well as receive extra help when needed. Content area teachers may also request use of this period to work with students individually or give specific assignments to me for students to complete. In addition, they may be asked to complete activities designed to help them with reading comprehension and basic math skills.
All students will be expected to adhere to the rules found in the Bedford County Code of Student Conduct, as well as the SRMS Handbook.
Information about Special Education and links to additional organizations can also be found through the BCPS web site in the Special Education section of the Parents page. The Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (www.peatc.org) is one resource you may want to check out.
