Welcome to senior year! We are looking forward to a great year with commencement in June 2012
Virginia and U.S. Government: This course will incorporate an understanding of the working and origins of the American and Virginia political systems. Students will learn about the U.S. and VA constitutions; federal, state and local governments; the process of public policy-making; foreign affairs; political parties; interest groups; public policy and the impact of the media on policy decisions. Students will compare political and economic systems, with emphasis on the U.S. market system; supply and demand; and the role of the government in the economy.
Assignments will be posted weekly. Tests,quizzes, and other projects will be posted as soon as possible.
